What is an Adult Verification System?
An Adult Verification System (AVS) sets up a password protected entry for web sites that do not want their web sites to be "publicly accessible" to people under the age of 18. These systems will issue you an adult ID which allows you to access all the participating sites with one password. What kind of sites will I find?
AVS services do not check the sites they list (there are just too many to keep track of), so unfortunately you may find lots of terrible sites whilst browsing. You will, however, also find excellent ones which of course you can bookmark and return to later.
